Jelly Glazed Wings
These sticky, sweet wings are our favorite contribution to a picnic or game day spread. Also great with pepper jelly for homemade hot wings!
- 1 jar Beer or pepper jelly
- 2 cloves Garlic, crushed
- 2 dozen Chicken wings
Turn broiler to high and position the rack 6-8” from the top.
In a small pan, combine the beer jelly and garlic. Melt together and keep warm.
Arrange chicken wings on a broiler pan or rack on top of a foil-lined cookie sheet. Liberally salt and pepper the chicken. Turning often, broil chicken wings until just golden (about 15 minutes).
When the wings start to get some color, begin basting them with the melted beer jelly. Allow the jelly to bubble and caramelize. Continue flipping and basting with jelly until the wings are caramelized and slightly charred. Turn any leftover glaze into a dipping sauce by thinning with a bit of water and adding tomato puree or ketchup.
Allow wings to cool slightly before serving with plenty of napkins.
